The American Society for Testing and Materials specification ASTM A795 is the standard for black and hot-dipped zinc-coated (galvanized) and welded steel pipes designed for fire protection. This pipe is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary use in steam, water, air and gas lines.
